My Background

I have been a community based pathologist in a large group practice for most of my career.  I have been a laboratory medical director for over 20 years and have been deeply involved in organized medicine, including the CAP, ASCP, ASC, APF and my local pathology societies.  Thus, many of my interests involve the business, management and leadership of laboratories and pathology groups.

My Blog

I will be exploring issues in quality improvement, lean production, error reduction and biases in medical and business decisions and pathologist burnout and stress. I am very interested and a big advocate for digital pathology, genomics and informatics. I have just retired from group practice but am still very interested and passionate about my field.
